EMDR
(Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)

EMDR was initially developed as a therapeutic technique used in the treatment of trauma. It is widely researched and written about, and hundreds of therapists have observed that it rapidly and effectively resolves the emotional, cognitive, and physical symptoms that people experience following significant or minor traumatic events. This may include one-time traumas (such as a car accident or tornado) or chronic traumas (such as child abuse or family conflict).

More recently, the development of this technique has been expanded into the field of performance enhancement coaching. This application has shown great success. The method seeks to integrate and optimize the thoughts, emotions, and bodily sensations that a person experiences while undertaking their performance of a task. By doing so, performance blocks are eliminated, creative expression and character roles are deepened, and professional goals are achieved.
